A Career in Emergency Medicine
Following his military service, Eric embarked on a journey in healthcare, earning a degree in emergency medical management from Western Carolina University. He obtained his registered nurse (RN) license in 1996 and dedicated over a decade of his career to working in regional hospital emergency rooms, where he served as a paramedic and critical care registered nurse. Eric's expertise expanded over time, leading him to hold various leadership positions, including director of quality/compliance and market Chief Operating Officer over three hospitals. Most recently, he has been involved in enhancing healthcare delivery and accreditation through his work with The Joint Commission.
Commercial Contractor and Builder
Over the years Eric has owned his own construction business and currently has a Commercial Building license. He enjoys building, forging, welding and spending time in the workshop creating projects to help those around him.
