Criminal defense: Journalist arrested for filming mall incident

A Tennessee journalist was recently arrested for documenting what he described as an act of racial bias at a shopping mall. He is facing a misdemeanor citation for the incident. A local police deputy allegedly claimed that he was breaking the mall's rules by filming an incident concerning two young men wearing hooded sweatshirts. The mall later released a statement that it does not permit its customers to wear clothing that can conceal their identities. It is unclear if the journalist has begun criminal defense preparations.
